Approving and Rejecting News

To approve or reject a News article, place your mouse over the Administration tab at the top of the screen and select News Manager

1. To Approve a News article, search using the following parameters.
2. Click on Drop_down_arrow to select the type of article from the list. You can select This Community or a Group name.

3. In the Filters section, click on to select the Status and if the article is Featured or not.

4. Click on  to select Starts With, Ends With, or Contains for the News Headline: type in all or part of the headline in the text box.

5. Click on the Search button, if there are any results, they will display below; if no results display try broadening your search criteria.

6. Click to highlight the News item in the listing.
7. Click the Edit button to view the article and make any necessary changes.
8. Community and Group Administrators: click the Approve button to have the news article display immediately.

9. Click on the Cancel button to discard any changes and return to the News Manager page.

To Reject a News article, click on the Reject button.

10. The Reject News Item dialog box opens.
11. In the Reason: text box, type in a reason for rejecting the article, you can ask for clarification,  or request additional information.

12. To send the email with the notice, click on the Save button. The status changes to Rejected waiting for additional information.
13. To discard the information, click on the Cancel button.
